The People's Committee of Quang Ngai province on 16/8 has announced detailed planning 1/500 along the Tra Khuc river. The planning area from Tra Khuc 2 bridge to Cua Dai bridge covers an area of 252 hectares, the width of each side of the river is about 200 meters and the population is about 1,000 people.

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Ngoc Co said this is an area that plays an important role in the architectural and landscape space of Quang Ngai city and the potential for promoting urban development.

Therefore, the province is planning this is open space, ecology, tourism development, the premise to build commercial and riverside urban areas with synchronous infrastructure and high aesthetics.

Specifically, along Hoang Sa and Truong Sa roads will be planted trees, public works and commercial high-rise services, community spaces and buildings to create highlights for the landscape.

The main space in the planning also prioritizes major works, limiting works under 3 floors or not in accordance with architecture. The low floor is designed in harmony with the garden, the walking axis and open space, connecting, restricting the hard walls separating the space.

The newly planned housing is arranged inside, limited adjacent to the riverfront frontage. The types of houses with low density such as: villas, garden houses, etc. are prioritized. Existing residential areas must be refurbished with reasonable construction density, in line with the general landscape architecture of the area.

In addition, the province plans to build parks, swimming pools, sports facilities to serve cultural and spiritual life for the people.

Tra Khuc River is the largest river in Quang Ngai Province. By the end of 2013, the government issued a resolution to expand Quang Ngai to 16,000 hectares, a fourfold increase, merging the eastern communes of Son Tinh district along the northern bank of the Tra river into the city.

Oriented to develop along the East-West axis, Quang Ngai City has Tra Khuc river flowing between. Apart from the Tra Khuc 1 and Tra Khuc 2 bridges, the province is building more Thach Bich Bridge and Cua Dai Bridge linking the two banks.
